The history of the gargoyle dates back to medieval age. Gargoyles, carved zoomorphic protrusions jutting from ledges and roofs of buildings, have multiple uses, ranging from functional architecture, spiritual symbolism, and even as a tangible medium to teach lessons. Each peice of art has its own strong meaning. This is usually conveyed by animated facial features, grotesque poses, and species. Whether the gargoyle is a cat-bear, human-gryphon, or a demonic creature from the underworld, each displays an ornate and beautiful tale that has been displayed for centuries.
